| Mailstrom Another
one of them thar games that came bundled with my Speccy. In this one you play
a post a post-apocalyptic postman who must deliver the mail by blowing up mailboxes
(I promise that I didn't make that up). It was an interesting game for a while
but after the first round it got really repetitive, so it ended up being one of
those games that I only played when I got bored with everything else.

| New Zealand
Story A very cute, very fun
platform game, in which you guide a Kiwi (I think) around levels, saving your
fellow kiwis from all sorts of nasty creatures. This game was so easy to get into,
the level design was good, and the difficulty level was just right - not too hard,
not too easy. Great fun.

| N.O.M.A.D. *A
must download*And another
bundled game, this time a really addictive one. Guide a little robot chappy around
levels using a combination of good reflexes and timing to avoid traps. It used
the same control system as games such as Super Sprint, left and right rotated
the robot, while forward and backward moved him. This coupled with the inertia
in the game could cause things to be quite frustrating at times. A good tip is
to leave a screen SLOWLY, otherwise you may not be able to slow down in time to
avoid death in the next area. Download it |

| Operation Wolf The
original and still the best. Move a little cursor/target thingy around the screen,
blowing the crap out of soldiers, tanks, helicopters... and turkeys. Ill be honest
and say that I never made it past the first level, but this game in combination
with a light gun was so much fun. Download it |

| Postman Pat
What? ME BUY THIS GAME???? piss off! This was
one of my sisters additions to the games collection, and I have to admit that's
it's quite addictive. Guide Postman Pat (and his black and white cat no doubt*)
around the village of Greendale, erm... delivering the mail. Just make sure you
don't crash your van into a wall or anything - it's only funny the first 20 or
30 times you do it
* People outside of the UK will have no idea
what i'm talking about here. Download it |

| Rampage Hehe,
a game for the monster in all of us (piss off, I know i'm funny and that's what
counts!) Control one of three gigantic creatures (a lizard a gorilla and a werewolf),
smashing up skyscrapers, swatting helicopters out of the sky, and eating people
(my favourite). Just make sure you don't take too much damage, otherwise you could
revert back to your human form - sans clothing. It's so funny seeing one of the
monsters edging out of the screen in human form, covering his shame, and then
picking him up and and popping him into your mouth (i'm a sick puppy, and I don't
care). Download it |

| Rebelstar 1
and 2 *A must download*The
forerunner to more recent turn based games such as the X-com series. I think that
out of the two games the second one was my favourite, with its cool Gieger-esque
aliens and backround. Nothing was more satisfying than hitting an alien on the
other side of the map with a high power laser weapon, and of course the game had
light sabres which is always a winner. Download it |

| Red Heat One
of the few movie tie-ins that was any good. Guide Arnie around the levels, punching
and head butting the bad guys.. and when you punched them - boy did you
punch them. Never has hitting someone in the face looked or sounded more satisfying.
The other things that deserve mentioning are the ultra difficult sub games, which
usually involve finding the right combination of joystick moves to achieve a certain
effect (dropping a hot rock that's in your hand etc.) A great game.

| Renegade 1,
2 and 3 Classic side-scrolling
beat-em-ups. Fight your way through levels filled with various thugs, bikers and
other nasties - and then you have to face Mr Big (duh duh duh!!!) The range of
interesting moves you could pull off is what I like most about the games, from
the usual flying kicks and punches, to throws and the classic knee to the groin.
Shedloads of gameplay and violent fun. Download it |

| The Rocky Horror
Show Based on the musical
I suppose, but what the musical has to do with collecting square shaped flashy
things is beyond me (oops, did I just give away the "plot" there?) Guide
one of two characters around the mansion, avoiding its psychopath occupants and
attempting to collect the aforementioned flashing squares. Fun but hard -
and confusing. Download it |
